| PABUKU is an Austrian based studio, founded in 2015 by the Austrian artist couple Ulla Klopf and Ute Baurecker, that specializes in the creation of mesmerizing collage art in revisiting victorian time illustration with a contemporary twist. Their work has been described as “exquisite”, “exceptionally cool” and “outstanding in it’s field”. PABUKU are passionate about visual storytelling as a universal language, creating sceneries with lots of detail one can dive into and relate to - making their art 'slow food' for the viewer's eyes. The unmistakable style of image design and the exclusive use of imagery from nineteenth-century books and newspapers, as well as subtle humour, make PABUKU's style unique. In addition to collaborations with licence partners in the fields of stationery, bag and product design, the spectrum ranges from small formats such as greeting cards to cover art, wall art and wall stories - commissioned works in the form of individual large-scale wall designs. |
